Stomach bug or baby bump?

bugorbaby · 08/04/2021 13:08

I'm wanting opinions (past experiences) on whether I've got a stomach bug or pregnant. I live pretty rurally and without a car this week but have some tests coming at the weekend.

Symptoms:

  • on and off nausea
  • lots of clear watery and white stretchy discharge (way more than normal, my pants feel constantly wet - sorry for tmi 🤢)
  • feeling like I need a wee more often than normal (I've been trying to drink more water to see if that makes me feel better so could be why)
  • slightly "looser" poo and going more frequently
  • gone off food and chocolate, and only wanting to drink water
  • more emotional
  • period is 5 days late

Some background:

  • had a baby nearly a year ago so irregular periods, but the last few seemed to be settling into a routine
  • taken some out of date pregnancy tests and they were negative
  • we had sex the day before my last period, but nothing for a couple of weeks after that
  • we're using the withdrawal method

Sounds likely to be pregnancy but only the tests will tell you!

I took a test Saturday afternoon and it was negative so I've no idea what's going on

Try an in date test with your first wee of tomorrow morning.

Sorry should've said, the test I took yesterday was brand new. I'd have thought if I was pregnant it wouldn't need the first morning wee as it's well after my period was due
