Cutting down / stopping breastfeeding after a year?

My DD is a year old now and EBF. She now eats a good 3 meals a day plus snacks, inc dairy / drinks water.

With lockdown easing there will be some days / nights out I have and wondering if now is the time to cut back a bit. How long will it take my milk to dry up? Ie if I went away for a weekend could I just pump a few times and that would keep it in?

She’s very resistant to a cup / beaker of milk but we have put her to bed a few times without a feed and that’s been ok, so I think she might be ok.

Just wondering what other experiences are - has anyone cut down / out a few feeds when they’ve been out but kept going otherwise?

Yeah it'll take ages to dry up at this point. I did a very very slow wean with both of mine, they go two or 3 days without feeding and it'd be fine. Eldest now goes a week at a time and still gets milk.

You'll need to pump for comfort though!

Stopped feeding my eldest at 13 months and I could still squeeze a bit of milk out until I got pregnant again 2 months later (at which point never touching my boobs again was more appealing than continuing to test it out!) so I'm sure you'd be fine for a weekend away!
