I've just realised that DS has outgrown a lot of his books (and/ or I'm bored with them). What do your 2.5-3yo kids enjoy reading? He loves nee-naws/ cars and animals. I just have no clue what kind of thing I'm looking forBlush

Mine likes Funny Bones, Zoe and Beans, anything with flaps to lift, anything Julia Donaldson.

Julia Donaldson.

Brilliant stories and last for years. They've also started making the animated stories which act as a handy distraction when required!

Ribeebie · 07/04/2021 20:52

We have the Julia Donaldson ones. He particularly likes highway rat and smeds and the smoos at the moment.
Thomas the tank engine books.
We have car car truck jeep and row row pirate boat.
Shark in the dark
We have some longer Disney ones which we split over two bedtimes!
We have some slightly random ones from the works as they do 10 for £10 which he likes but I can't remember the names of!

Interested to know what others are reading for inspiration too!

At 2.5 my kids read fuck all. But I read plenty to them

We loved "Oi Frog", "Lost and Found" the "Hairy Maclary" books.

MargaretThursday · 07/04/2021 21:09

I was going to say "War and Peace" of course, but then I see you mean to them not on their own. Grin

Mine loved Bunny and Bee at that age. Especially Noisy Night.

Doyouwantanothercuppa · 07/04/2021 21:13

The Apple Tree Farm books, Little Red Train, Oi Frog, Harry and the Dinosaurs, We’re Going on a Bear Hunt.
