Before Easter, DS mentioned that the best part of the holiday was making a pot pie with the leftovers, it is one of his favourites.
Yesterday DS (22 this month) made a large turkey pot pie with the leftovers, I helped him rescue his pastry when it wasn't coming together. He did all the rest.
When it was in the oven, he mentioned that when he'd pierced the pastry, he'd made it say something.
The timer goes off, and I went and took it out too stand a minute. I read, clear as anything, I LOVE YOU in the crust.
I smile, and really appreciate what a great kid I have.
We sit down to eat, and he looks up all happy and expectant, and says,
" Did you read the message I wrote to the pie?"
