Book recommendations for 5 year old

Any recommendations for a chapter book series for a 5 year old? She’s enjoyed some of the adapted Enid Blyton ones and we’re working our way through a Dick King Smith set. This is for bedtime stories rather than her readying - what did your kids enjoy please?

Dd5 is enjoying Isadora Moon, Rabbit and Bear, Mudpuddle Farm. We really enjoyed Roald Dahl, Esio Trot, The Enormous Crocodile etc. And Charlottes Web was enjoyed by dd5 & ds6 at bedtime.

We are enjoying Winnie the Pooh at the moment

The Claude series by Alex T Smith - a beret wearing dog gets up to all sorts of adventures. Perfect for 5 year olds! Funny and more illustrations than text on every page, but still a picture book.

We also really enjoyed Rabbit and Bear series by Julian Gough

The Fudge series by Judy Blume was a big favourite too - about a naughty 4 / 5 year old and his older brother.

Also loved as previous posters - the Daisy series by kes Gray, Sophies Adventures by Dick King Smith (fewer illustrations in that one) and Clever Polly and the Stupid Wolf.

Thank you, have ordered lots to work through. We’re just finishing Sophie’s adventures, she enjoyed that, particularly as she also has a fondness for creepy crawlies.

Have ordered a set of Isadora Moon which looks right up her street and Clever Polly and the Stupid Wolf. Will keep a note of the others once we’ve worked through those, thanks again!
