What would you choose - work or health

Doing this again as first post didn't have a title.

I know this will massively vary with each individual circumstances but I'm looking for some opinions.

I'm currently working pt so it's literally pick up kids and go straight to work and then finish work and go straight to pick up kids. This sounds great but im not coping. Due to health issues which have developed over the past couple of years, I'm getting more and more exhausted every year. I do all the cooking, cleaning and kids stuff too. DH does do his share but it's less as he isn't around as much. I get really tired by the time I get home and don't have the energy to do anything or play with the kids properly. I feel really bad about it and can't keep on top of everything and it's affecting my mental health now too.

I know if I cut my hours back alot at work that would help. DH thinks leaving work altogether and having a break for a year or so and concentrating on my health is the best thing for me but I'm reluctant to do this as worried about finding another job..Im not happy at work either so this is also why he thinks I should leave.

I guess my question is what would you do?. Cut hours back or completely quit?!

Cut bk ur hours if u can and see how that goes. You'll then know if that's enough to help or if you need a longer term break. I'd worry about the gap on the cv but you cld say u were caring for an ill family member or something.

cut back first. ......see how that goes then reconsider. also cutting back first will enable you to have more time and energy to look for something else.

I wad in a similar position to you last year..except I had 3 p/t jobs. I got furloughed from one.but realised I felt much happier working less....like you I do the majority of housework and cooking.I never went back to it.

Cut back hours and look for a new part time job.
