Think you're having a bad day in retail? Be glad you're not this tobacconist in Georgian Edinburgh...

That's so creepy!

Worst thing I found when working in retail was a human turd. First day on my first job.
Cctv showed the guy shake it out his trouser leg.

(^Definitely not envy.)

You'll be relieved to learn the magistrates issued a warrant the very next day, "allowing petitioner to bury the bones."

Clearly the town authorities could pull their fingers out when the need arose. Or maybe just a couple of phalanges.

Phew, I am glad that she was a woman of decent appearance. Imagine how shocking this incident could have been if she had been a right slovenly minger!

floppybit · 06/04/2021 23:32

My first job was in Debenhams. We were tidying the home ware department and noticed a terrible smell, turns out someone had done a shit in a vase and put it back on the shelf

floppybit · 06/04/2021 23:33

Also found a turd in ladies changing room once....

Houseofvelour · 06/04/2021 23:34

So it looks like turds and retails go hand in hand 😂

Pheebs2021 · 07/04/2021 07:04

I've heard of this crapping in a shop thing but in my whole life I've thankfully never experienced it. May I offer up a used sanitary towel? In a shop in Brighton.

I love that the magistrate basically said "Found a box of human remains? No probs, feel free to bury them yourself"!
MissPessyMistic · 07/04/2021 07:16

Shit filled knickers in the ladies changing room. Shit filled nappy in a demonstration pram. Perhaps someone needs to open a business called ‘Crap in a Shop’ and cut out the middle man.

An ex colleague caught someone masturbating in the men's fitting rooms. Colleague is Russian, man was Russian, she over heard his telephone conversation and stood outside the cubicle telling him to leave, he left but not before he finished.

No! No no no! No turds in the hand!

Definitely not better than a turd in the bush.

And there's another image I didn't need before lunch.-

Weird thing about the shit in the vase is that the home department was right next to the toilets. Obviously done by choice rather than caught short.

Deathraystare · 07/04/2021 14:26

I guess it would not be as much fun as when you might be caught out!

Bargebill19 · 07/04/2021 14:50

Diy store - display toilets and children. Used to have cleaning products handy for the parents to clean up.

floppybit · 07/04/2021 14:54

Oh yes, I've heard about people crapping in the display toilets at B & Q

TressiliansStone · 10/04/2021 21:57

This thread is turning out substantially more disturbing than I'd imagined.

And that's after starting with human remains. Shock

I'll offer up my son, left him in the opticians, In my defence he was weeks old and I was suffering from anaemia and the brain dog that goes with it. It was a minute max.
