Changes to hospital visiting?

Has anyone seen anything about when visitors may be allowed into hospitals again? With all the other changes on the horizon, I expected to see something about this, but had no luck in my searches.

Anyone with inside info?!

I have a family member who has been in hospital for many weeks, and we expect them to be there several more- it would be so good to know if there was even a chance of seeing them by summer...

Thanks!

It will be the last thing to change, I'm afraid, but some hospitals are doing it on a case-by-case basis.

Sorry to hear your relative has had such a long stay.

I think it’ll be soon (icu nurse here)

Maybe the next few weeks

I think it’ll be quite strict and back to 30-60 mins a day/appointment basis/discretion of charge nurse type thing and only for covid negative patients

Thank you both :) whilst it’s hugely reassuring to know that the ‘no visitors’ policy helps keep Covid out of the wards, it’s torturous for ‘long stayers’... fingers crossed it won’t be too long!
