Anybody else getting hassled by Census?

Completed our census on the day. Got an email confirmation. Had a letter a week later "you need to do your census". Phoned up. Automated lady said no need to do anything, sorry bout that.

Got another bloody letter today. Automated lady still saying sorry, don't worry, but I thought might as well try to speak to someone. Gave up.

How difficult is it?!

I am. It's really annoying but I'm ignoring the letters as I have had an email confirming that I submitted it.
It's a waste of time, effort on their part, not to mention all the paper they are using .

I just want to avoid the knock on the door from the earnest follow-up person as it's a long way down our drive 😂
It is a massive waste of resources, I assumed Capita had got the contract on that basis but Google says otherwise!

Are the door ones wearing a hi vis/purple combo? One started heading up our drive last week, got half way, looked at a clip board and turned around and left.
Assumed it was them.

We had a hi-vis/purple combo lady ring the doorbell a couple of hours ago. Asked whether we had done the census (yes!), if we did it online or by post (online) and which date we did it on (whatever the Sunday was we were supposed to do it). Answered all that, she was clicking away on a handheld device while I was speaking.

About 10 minutes ago the SAME person rang the doorbell and started asking me the same questions as before! I politely told her that she'd already been and I had already answered (and also completed the census on time anyway!).

All very strange. If she comes back again, I'll show her my confirmation email!
