A man has an accident I think and can then see through illusions and that people are living a fake reality. Instead of items like TV, it's a box marked TV. Nice donuts or bagels are actually basic biscuits and the box they are in is labelled.
He goes to the city or wherever where the people are in high rises and posh offices and seemingly controlling this fake reality but then sees that they too are not in reality and the buildings are in fact ruins and the people are dirty and their clothes are torn and it's all a bit post apocalypticy. He returns to his town and they're all in brown clothes, carrying boxes labeled briefcase and stuff like that but they don't see it. He and a woman I think walk off.
