I'm beginning to hate people

Everyone around me are not able to follow some basic hygiene that we were all supposed to follow over the past year because we are in a pandemic.

I live at home with my mother and she likes to cough and sneeze into the open. She won't even try to contain her germs. Shes not able to comprehend the public health advice of containing germs to protect everyone else. We are in the eu and she is not vaccinated yet. She is following the restrictions a lot of the time so chances of her having covid is slim but still, containing germs is just a little bit of basic manners.

My partner won't use a tissue and chooses to wipe his nose on his hand and sleeve.

It's revolting, from the pair of them. I'm astonished some people live like this where they decide public health guidelines doesn't apply within a home. It goes to show how the virus can spread so easily in a home with carelessness.

This is absolutely revolting, Covid or no Covid.
Sorry op, but I couldn’t bear to be with a man like that, he would make my stomach churn.

Singlenotsingle · 06/04/2021 10:01

No, that's disgusting. Especially the partner. Yuck.

RickiTarr · 06/04/2021 10:04

If you have a disgusting DP, drop him.

If you’re living at home with your parents and you disapprove of, or are irritated by, their habits, move out.

Those two rules solve a lot of pointless conflict.

Disgusting but sadly I am not surprised at some people's lack of basic hygiene. A lot less people would have colds and worse in normal times if basic things were done.

JingsMahBucket · 06/04/2021 10:52

I hear you. After a year of a fucking pandemic my partner still sneezes into his hand about 40% of the time. Even pre-pandemic I was trying to train him to sneeze into his arm. So freaking gross.

MargosKaftan · 06/04/2021 10:52

Why would anyone consider a relationship with a man with poor hygiene, regardless of pandemic or not?

You live with your mother, is it her home? If so, then you need to look at moving out, and not with the disgusting man. Lots of people have used the time this year to reassess what matters to them.

Time to plan new life for you.

You want to see the habits of some kids in a classroom! The other day a kid picked his nose and wiped it on top of the desk. Even before Covid I had antibacterial spray!!

Someone who sneezes into their sleeve wouldn't get near my life!

Sexnotgender · 06/04/2021 11:00

Why are you with someone so revolting 🤢

Singlenotsingle · 07/04/2021 11:52

Sneeze into his arm? Nothing wrong with sneezing into his hand, as long as he immediately goes and washes his hands.

I've seen ones who eat their boogers! Both kids and adults. People have been disgusting since the dawn of time.

Then there are people who've not needed to be told to wash their bloody hands (even if they sneeze into their hands) and maintain good overall hygiene since they were kids. Funny that Covid had to teach some this in the first place.
