@Honeyroar

Oh just saw the other, that’s Lighthouse family. High? Is that what it’s called? It’s on our wedding album dvd.

Midgey the kangaroo!🤣. 🦘 (sorry Pantry!)

Yes Honeyroar, that's lovely 😊 I've just heard it, hadn't heard it for years

I have form for this - for years I was convinced a colleagues husband was from Texas - I was positive I had been told this. I used to be impressed at the fact his parents came to visit twice yearly.

When I met him he was from Barnsley ... slight difference

RogueMNerKnowsNoShame · 07/04/2021 16:28

Barnsley 🤣🤣🤣

Hey, I've just thought of a great first line that I should have included the other day:

My dear children

Not exactly a pop record.
Anyone know it?

So, midge, honey, pantry, flea, carnage, Steve and anyone else who missed out the other day.

I've prepared a new list, just for you guys ❤
To describe it as distinctive last lines is pushing it somewhat, but I think you'll have fun.

If you can agree a time/day, I'll post them for you. Assuming you want to play, of course. No pressure.

And, of course, the others are all welcome too, but they played last time, so I thought I'd find a time that suited all of you for definite

shinynewapple21 · 07/04/2021 17:15

The lighthouse family song is called lifted

shinynewapple21 · 07/04/2021 17:19

I posted this the other day.

Love is fading baby
I can see it in your eyes
Your kisses taste the same
But it's just a sweet disguise

80s

Oh yes, of course. Thanks!

@RogueMNerKnowsNoShame why not post a few a day so everyone catches some? I couldn’t name a day at the moment- what with coming out of hibernation and all that!

Let me know when and I should be around.
Fleamaker123 · 07/04/2021 21:13

The Lighthouse Family song was High, but it does sound much the same as Lifted, they kind of morph together 🤣

Rogue, I'll try my best to be around 😊

Honeyroar · 07/04/2021 21:25

I think High is nicer than lifted. But they were good easy listening tunes.

RogueMNerKnowsNoShame · 07/04/2021 21:33

Naff.

Friday night work?

Fleamaker123 · 07/04/2021 21:36

And if, by chance, that special place
That you've been dreaming of
Leads you to a lonely place
Find your strength in love

80's

Honeyroar · 07/04/2021 21:41

Flea that’s a Whitney- Greatest love, I think.

High five Honeyroar!!!
The greatest minds of all..
Honeyroar · 07/04/2021 21:43

😃Needtoknow!
Someone else sang it before her. A man. Alexander O’Neil or someone?

I thought it was Dolly Parton... can't really confuse Parton with O'Neil?
RogueMNerKnowsNoShame · 07/04/2021 21:54

Dolly did a lovely version of and I will always love you.

Very sweet

CoffeeBeansGalore · 07/04/2021 21:56

Evening all

Actually Dolly P wrote I will always love you & I detested the Whitney cover.

Just seen Honey's post a bit upthread suggesting I post a few a day.

Balls to that.

It's entertaining to me when there's a frenzy. Times is hard in lockdown. I have to take my simple pleasures where I can.

RogueMNerKnowsNoShame · 07/04/2021 21:58

X post, coffee

RogueMNerKnowsNoShame · 07/04/2021 21:58

P.s. my dad detested it too.

Honeyroar · 07/04/2021 22:03

George Benson sang the original version according to Google.

I actually don’t like Dolly’s version of I will always love you. She talks/breathes it rather than singing. But I love a bit of Jolene!
