Recommend a quick dry towel

I’m looking for quick dry towels available in small and medium sizes. Preferably something very thin that will dry in a few minutes over the shower rail when wrung out. I have one great thin towel but the company’s gone and the material was a proprietary mix I think. I got a towel about two years ago again but it was thicker and much longer drying. Can anyone recommend anything?

A hammam towel? Sometimes called peshtemel. Available from eBay, originally from Turkey. We use them on the beach.

If it's for taking swimming for example rather than everyday use, I saw a great tip years ago to use a "sarong" or any large soft cotton opaque thing along the same lines. Way better than the camping shop style quick drying towels which smell like hell if not dried right out.

I use a large piece of muslin, rather than a specific towel. Folds up really small, and encompasses a chubby body. Dries quite quickly, and doesn't feel unpleasant. I took mine interrailing, and was much better than a microfibre towel.

I use Dock & Bay.

These Decathlon ones are super quick dry - you want the smooth microfibre type

Decathlon pool towels

Or these do these 100% cotton ones Fouta towel

The decathlon microfibre towels are great, particularly for swimming, gym and travel as they pack so small too. The large one is huge!

Trakke travel towel. Handmade in Scotland.

Dries me and the dog after a dook and dries itself very quickly too. One of my favourite bits of walking kit. It doesn’t get smelly. It’s a bit of an investment but worth every penny imo, it’ll last for years.

You'll need to wait for the shops to open but Primark do those sports microfibre towels. Best one i ever bought was about 4quid, years old now and still excellent. I subsequently bought a smaller one for the dog. Washes well. Doesn't stink.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone!
