School meal vouchers

So I received vouchers today. I’m not sure why - I was informed last week I would be sent them and was just told by the school all eligible children had them and to have a happy Easter. But I’m confused as we are not on benefits. We do have a child with permanent disability is this it? I have looked via google and can’t find criteria for schools. I don’t want to spend what should not be ours equally it would be handy.

I have a 6 year old who is disabled and we aren’t on benefits, no offer for the vouchers here. If you’ve been told you’re entitled to them, use them definitely.

I’m just worried that I’m committing fraud if I spend them.

Aah I can’t see it if you’ve been sent them? Would be their mistake anyway, no fault on you.

At our schools, all child who are pupil premium have also had them-my dc haven’t been on free school meals since late 2015 and we got them.

It's like a gift voucher i don't think they have a way of getting it back off you. So if there has been a mistake then the most that could happen would be the voucher is wasted.

Crunchymum · 05/04/2021 12:19

Don't redeem the voucher if you don't need to?

FWIW, my youngest is high rate DLA and we got sent a voucher for her (she isn't school age yet!)

Like I said we are not earning enough to pay high rate tax nor are we low enough for top ups. But our overall income has been very restricted due to covid - we are not part of the lucky people who have made savings this year. So the money is welcome. Ah pupil premium makes sense as our child comes under that due to integration.
