I'm buying a new phone and not sure if it's worth the extra £££ for the 12 over the 11. Any advice?

The 12 is definitely most excellent. I have the 12 pro and I really rate it.

It takes the best photos which is a priority for me when choosing a phone.

I went for the 11 recently. Couldn’t justify the additional cost, I just wanted more memory.

You may as well spend a bit more to get the most up to date as they evolve so quickly. The camera on the 12 is also fantastic! I wouldn’t bother with 12 pro though.

Depends what you want it for.

My old 8 was more than two years old. I didn’t think I needed a new phone, just wanted more memory so the £200 between an 11 and 12 was £200 more than I felt I needed to spend.

I've got the 12 max pro thingy and love it. I chose the spec that best met my needs for work. I need a big screen for reading technical documents. The battery lasts for 2 days, but it is heavier than my large-screened 6 plus.

I like taking photos and want a decent memory.

It seems like the main difference between the 11 and 12 standard ones is the 12 is 5G compatible, but I'm not sure if that's worth the extra £100?

Have you done the comparison at Apple, it shows you exactly what the differences are.

I’m not the diet who needs to have the latest model so really happy with the 11. At 256gb the price difference was £749 to £949.

Also look at size - I can’t remember if there’s a size difference. I find the 11 slightly too wide for my hands to call in comfort.

I replaced my iPad Air 2 (ancient) with a new iPad Air at the same time for reading the paper/work etc.
