@knocke 😂 it honestly looks like she is sponsored by Cadbury or something.

knocke · 04/04/2021 09:32

😆

Blustered · 04/04/2021 09:33

We did an Easter treasure hunt this morning. Dc had one main egg, a small bunny, a marshmallow Easter lolly, mug huggers, an Easter bath bomb and snow globe. They had 3 small eggs from family members which I also used!
They have two more Easter egg hunts, one in the park today with family and one with other family members they haven’t seen in ages. Easter and Halloween are their favourite times of year!

Until I read this thread I had no idea people bought anything but a chocolate egg for their kids!

Karwomannghia · 04/04/2021 09:38

Is that picture from that family with 26 kids or something?!

knocke · 04/04/2021 09:42

No I just have one but they have worked so hard this yr so I thought it's ok to spoil them. They are only 6 months old so won't eat too much but #memories

itsgettingwierd · 04/04/2021 09:44

@SimonJT

I did an easter egg hunt in the flat, but instead of easter eggs we had dinosaurs.

Can’t beat dinosaurs.

I love this!

Ds has had a plastic basket with chocolate, sweets crisps and biscuits.

Plus boiled egg and soldiers for breakfast.

But he's 16 now!

Also bbq at my parents later

Last year mine were bought 20 chocolate eggs by other people. I’m not adding to that pile, because I end up eating them myself.

Books and something bunny shaped from us. This year it was a sylvanian families bunny.

EmpressSuiko · 04/04/2021 09:51

One egg from us and a about 8 small eggs from a Easter egg hunt in the garden.
They’ve also got a couple of other eggs, treats and small bits and bobs from family.

MutteringDarkly · 04/04/2021 09:57

Yikes 39!!

DD's got a chocolate sorting hat (thanks M&S) and a book. Grandma has also got her a book. We'll do a mini egg hunt later with my sis and I will raid that after bedtime tonight as I was stupid and said I didn't want an egg

lollipoprainbow · 04/04/2021 10:03

Lots of Easter eggs and a pack of new fancy pens for my dd that's all !

SpringTimeDream · 04/04/2021 10:07

Just chocolate egg. I don't feel the need to compete with others and no longer use the look at me and my perfect life social media crapbook

I'm 36 when we were younger our parents bought us eggs and a video each.
Mumoblue · 04/04/2021 10:09

We bought our 14 month old son a small Milkybar egg and then he’s got a few more eggs from family so I’m going to be rationing chocolate for the foreseeable future! Easter Grin
We don’t really do much on Easter, it’s just chocolate egg day. But the weather is nice so I’ll take him to the park.

moomin11 · 04/04/2021 10:12

An egg and some playmobil. My mum always got us a present at Easter so I guess I just carried on doing the same for my DD.

NeverSurrender · 04/04/2021 10:16

A medium sized egg each and far too many little eggs to hide in the garden for an Easter egg hunt later. They'll probably get an egg from grandparents and aunt and uncle later on. We're having a bbq with grandparents. They're not really into crafts anymore, we used to do that. We have done some baking of Easter biscuits send a cake. As a child we used to get an egg each from parents and grandparents, aunts and uncles and that was it, so I never thought of doing more.

Been on Facebook this morning and now feel crap! Some kids have whole boxes of new toys and clothes! I'm not judging as I go completely overboard at Christmas, but Easter was not a really big deal growing up and I feel bad looking at their one egg on the table!

samenwitch · 04/04/2021 10:18

I made giant Easter eggs for them and filled them with pic and mix

When Dd was little we never bought her eggs as family would. So we would buy her a small toy, a book or similar - usually with a bunny or chick theme. She loved sylvanian families and they often has something we could make 'Easter-y' and we knew would be used and played with.

I remember one year me and my brother getting a new computer for Easter. It was a total one off and, looking back, was only given for Easter due to the timings. That was many many years ago - but I loved that Commodore Vic 20 so much. Spent most of the Easter holidays typing out programs from a magazine to get it do do the most basic of things, lol!

Crunchymum · 04/04/2021 11:30

Mine all got a present each (under £20) as they all have winter birthdays (Nov and Jan) so go the whole year without any presents.

We do it every year and its always under £20 and something they really want (it's almost always lego!!)

We also made biscuits yesterday.

They have a few eggs - from grandparents - they'll be opened for dessert after our turkey and beef roast later (me and DP have chocolate melting pots and ice cream)

Will head to the park for a run around soon.

tenlittlecygnets · 04/04/2021 11:54

An Easter egg hunt in garden
Small Easter egg each

That's it!!

Juanbablo · 04/04/2021 18:28

We got them a large Easter egg each. The. The Easter bunny hid some small eggs around the living room for them to find. They also had Easter eggs from some of our family too.

gingerbiscuit19 · 04/04/2021 18:38

A book, a few eggs and an egg hung

FunTimes2020 · 04/04/2021 18:41

@HollyBollyBooBoo

Just chocolate from me but the grandparents have given DD some money and she's treated herself to some lego off of eBay.
How many MNers will be Hmm at off of?! Grin
MNWorldisCrazy · 04/04/2021 18:43

2 little packets containing an Easter craft activity (just a cheap thing from Home Bargains)
An Aldi Easter egg containing a little stuffed unicorn
2 small Cadbury's eggs
1 Milkybar egg
3 tiny soft toys (Sheep, Chick & Bunny)
1 Kinder Easter egg (the £5 ones, not the massive one!)
2 Aldi hollow chocolate bunnies (1 white & 1 milk)
Small container of bubbles
1 little Windmill for the garden, left by the Easter Bunny!

Plus an Aldi Easter Egg hunt pack for the garden, also left by the Easter Bunny (not me in my nightie at 2:30am with my phone light and flip flops!) 🐰

Happy Easter! 🐣

MNWorldisCrazy · 04/04/2021 18:46

Oh and a pack of Easter Crackers which she seemed to like the most! Which is something I'll bear in mind for next year. When she will get a lot less than she did this year. I think I'd rather get her activities and things which will last, along with a small amount of chocolate
