My dc have an egg each and a new board game to play. I will also be hiding ( non edible ) eggs in the garden.

DD12 didn’t want an egg so she had a big Pick & Mix from Tesco’s instead. We do have creme eggs though & she’s had some of my mini eggs. I bought pain au chocolat for her & me in Lidl ( DH isn’t really bothered about pastries). DD was given a book by DM & DF but she’s already got it so they’re going to swap it. I’m feeling nostalgic & a bit sad as DD doesn’t want an egg hunt 🥲 If I’d got organised, I could have done one for me & DH!

badlydrawnbear · 04/04/2021 08:48

An Easter egg hunt of small chocolate eggs and a rock painting set.

Kaleidoscopecascade · 04/04/2021 08:50

To many eggs, youngest wanted a dvd too and the boys got a PlayStation voucher.

I did an easter egg hunt in the flat, but instead of easter eggs we had dinosaurs.

Can’t beat dinosaurs.

Justonedayatatime11 · 04/04/2021 08:52

Eggs from various family members, books from my Mum, a giant Lindt bunny, hatchimals and some Polly pockets from us and some money from DHs mum. Massively OTT but everything we had planned for the past few days had to be cancelled as DH and I are ill and she's been really good about it.

Blimeyoreilly2020 · 04/04/2021 08:56

Kids have a mini egg themed egg (£1.70 each) and a hot choc block stick with marshmallows each. There’ll be a big roast at lunch with crumble and ice cream for pudding. I think that’s enough!!

BakewellGin1 · 04/04/2021 08:57

From Us
Oldest got a £20 PlayStation Gift Card, Two Large Eggs and a Lindt Bunny
Youngest got Tales of Acorn Wood Book Set, Two Smaller Eggs, Two Kinder Bunny's and some Kinder Minis

They don't get many eggs from us as they get a few from family.

My Parents are doing them an egg hunt later on today and both will have two easter eggs, a collection of the small egg hunt eggs and some Pyjamas

unlimiteddilutingjuice · 04/04/2021 09:01

I left it too late and all the eggs were sold out Easter Blush
Luckily I found some heavily discounted Peter Rabbit tablewear. They each have an "Easter bunny" beaker and bowl filled with random treats:
Rainbow drops, packet of mini eggs, flumps, kinder surprise, Freddos, bubble wand.

We also have a bunch of Creme Eggs to do a "hunt" with later on.

HazeyJaneII · 04/04/2021 09:03

Big egg, mini eggs from hunt in garden at stupid o clock this morning, and a lindt bunny.

ForgedInFire · 04/04/2021 09:05

We decorate Easter baskets and put them out for the bunny at night time (sort of like stockings). It's just stuff I would have bought anyway but it's more fun to put it in a basket. So they got a new sunhat, toothbrush, some little bath bombs, water bottles and some foam thing to play with. I also printed them out some Easter themed colouring sheets and the basket had a clue for their egg hunt which they loved. So the basket plus a few eggs.

tarheelbaby · 04/04/2021 09:07

My girls still have chocolate left over from last Easter!! So the Easter bunny was more restrained this year.

DD13 - med Lindt floral bunny, small malteaser bunny, small bag of dairy milk eggs, med. Lego set (leftover from Christmas), pocket mirror with her initial.
DD10 - med Lindt floral bunny, small malteaser bunny, small bag of oreo eggs, small stuffed toy elephant (her fav. animal) and pack of hairties

Yesterday at 4pm DH asked me if I'd done anything about the girls' Easter eggs!! He had only just thought of it. Later he went out for a walk and this morning we all have 1 cadbury egg.

Camandmitch · 04/04/2021 09:08

They have one Easter egg and a handful of tiny eggs/small Lindt bunny for an Easter egg hunt.

I find the whole Easter wreath, Easter tree and receiving presents for Easter a bit odd because I never had any of this as a child - we just had one egg and some hot cross buns.

Eivor · 04/04/2021 09:08

Eggs, chocolate bunnies and socks for both, a bunny from teddy bear factory for DD5 and a PSvoucher for DD13.

Hopefully an outdoor egg hunt later if the wind calms down, otherwise we will do one inside with a mixture of chocolate eggs and non-edible eggs.

Coachee · 04/04/2021 09:12

Grandparents sent DD a lamb puppet, and made a felt Easter bag and crocheted bunny. Yesterday we did a National Trust Easter trail and that included a chocolate egg which we all shared.

We’ve made Easter nest cakes and later DD will hunt for little eggs in the garden. No big egg as she’s only 3, but seeing other granny later so there may well be something else added to this haul.

BerryPieandCustard · 04/04/2021 09:13

My daughter has a large egg from me and was given a large bunny shaped one from my Dad. I have a pack of Easter themed chocolate coins, 2 malteasers mini bunny’s and 2 cream eggs that will be hidden around the garden later on this afternoon.

My sister on the other hand has posted a photo on social media of her kids (3 altogether) surrounded by their eggs- there is 39, plus a soft toy and a box of what looks like Easter themed lollipops/hot chocolate cone type stuff..... they are all medium/large eggs too so cost a fair bit too- shit like this is the reason she regularly asks for money for a car repair/vets bill but you can’t show off on social media about fixing your car I suppose...
I’m tempted to ask in the comments if they will be donating some to the food bank/local children’s charity

Marmite27 · 04/04/2021 09:14

2 Disney junior ‘read it yourself’ type books, an Enid Blyton 30 short stories book, and a sylvanians bunny sat on a sofa.

Plus a basket with small treats. An Aldi chocolate bunny, A bag of smarties unicorn eggs, a smarties thing with little smarties in, a mini bag of Easter haribo, an egg and spoon egg and a Creme egg.

They got 5 other eggs from family and friends, another Aldi chocolate bunny and a cuddly bunny. DH’s side of the family chucked a couple of quid in each (MASSIVE family) and bought them the Sylvanians school/tree house rather than another 20 eggs. Seriously we only finished last years Easter eggs a fortnight ago!

I have some plastic eggs filled for an egg hunt, but that’s a pack of mini malteasters, a few more haribo bags and tiny lindor eggs, plus a little fluffy chick (6 for £1 bonnet decoration type) and one has a packet of seeds.

It’s so difficult to balance when every man and his dog wants to buy them something. I spent £15 and that’s only because one of the Disney books isn’t in print in the uk and I had to pay a premium for a second hand one on eBay!

Brokenrecord3006 · 04/04/2021 09:15

Just an egg, but DS is only 2 so I expect it will last him a while! I was going to do an egg hunt in the garden but I don't think I can be bothered and I've realised that DS actually has no idea that it's easter.

Toottootdrivers · 04/04/2021 09:17

From us he has a book and some happyland woodland animals, which I'm going to put into some plastic eggs for an egg hunt (we'll do this tomorrow as DP is working today).

From one set of grandparents he has an egg and a sticker book.
From the other grandparents he has an egg and some clothes
From great grandma he has a jigsaw and from his great great aunt he has a chocolate lamb.

Way too much chocolate for a 1 year old but I'll help Grin

lucysmam · 04/04/2021 09:22

Mine have a big egg, a Thornton's egg that I've iced their names on (my mum always got me one), and a small creme egg one each.

Plus a couple of random bits - bunny hot chocolate toppers and marshmallow lollies from Home Bargains.

& dd2 is waiting impatiently for dd1 to get out of bed so they can hunt for the small eggs. They're a mix of Lidl egg hunt ones and plastic fillable ones.

My dad gave us each a chocolate orange and a fiver, and a box of Magnum ice creams.

Nanna's calling later for a coffee in the garden & with eggs for them too.

Probably too much but 🤷‍♀️

knocke · 04/04/2021 09:22

surrounded by their eggs- there is 39,

39 easter eggs!

knocke · 04/04/2021 09:24

I think I may need to get the dc a bit more....

What Easter treats do you have for your dc?
TwoZeroTwoZero · 04/04/2021 09:25

Mine have 1 big egg each, 10 small ones (smaller than a hen's egg) filled with hazelnut praline and 50 tiny ones (about the size of mini eggs but individually wrapped in foil).

I have a large egg.

Karwomannghia · 04/04/2021 09:26

An egg each, doing a hunt and making cornflake cakes.

Chilver · 04/04/2021 09:27

Books from us and books from family. 1 medium egg and few small lindt ones.

Going for an Easter egg hunt in a park with one other family (I need to figure out how to hide the little eggs we bought for the purpose!)

TwoZeroTwoZero · 04/04/2021 09:28

We did an egg hunt with the tiny ones all dotted about the house but dc 1 really wasn't bothered by it this year and left all the hunting to dc 2. He'll happily eat the findings though :/
