They will have an Easter egg each

Am I missing something? What else are they supposed to be given?

Everyday21 · 04/04/2021 06:46

I have a Lindt easter hunt box which I'm assuming is little eggs and mini rabbits and also some hatchimals as my dds are into them and they're perfect in their little eggs. Will go and set up the hunt in the garden soon. I've also got some egg suncatchers somewhere for them to paint which I got in last years sale

DoveCube · 04/04/2021 06:46

@Bluebird2021 it's completely up to you what you give them. There are no set rules.

I was just wondering what treats others had planned.

Just chocolate. They got 2 eggs and 2 bunnies from me & DH and eggs from family. They had an egg hunt yesterday at my parents which they loved, will have to make it harder next year!

Soubriquet · 04/04/2021 06:54

They each have a medium sized egg each
One kinder bunny each

And I have a pack of Easter hunt malteaser bunnies and Lindt bunnies for our Easter hunt.

Mintjulia · 04/04/2021 06:57

An Easter egg, plus I've made a lemon drizzle cake for all of us.

PulledPineapple · 04/04/2021 06:58

They have small plastic fillable eggs containing a few mini eggs for the hunt, which I’ve just hidden in the garden, a large egg each, and then a new teeny ceramic Easter mug each and an Easter themed soft toy. We’ve also got some Easter crafts to do later.

And new little wicker baskets which they’ll use for years to come.

PolarnOPirate · 04/04/2021 07:00

I got the kids (5&3) smallish eggs this year as they get choc from grandparents too. We did do an Easter egg hunt with friends though (post-lockdown excitement) so they got a lot of very small eggs which probably equal two large ones.

So they got:
5 yo: giant kinder egg from us, choc bunny (not Lindt, one of those cartoony ones from m&s or something) and mid size kinder egg from grandma, and will get an egg today from other grandparents.

3yo: smallish egg with paw patrol plate and cup from us, mid size kinder egg and bunny from grandma, another egg from other grandparents.

Doesn’t sound like much on paper but I am stressing!!! Feels like loads 😄

HollyBollyBooBoo · 04/04/2021 07:02

Just chocolate from me but the grandparents have given DD some money and she's treated herself to some lego off of eBay.

aretherereally4Hs · 04/04/2021 07:11

I buy a pack of hollow eggs from lidl and these get hidden around the house. The children follow clues to find the eggs and it always ends up with their main eggs in the bath!

By main eggs I mean just two of the larger eggs (and a packet of chocolate orange eggs as they looked tasty)

DinosApple · 04/04/2021 07:12

A big chocolate egg each, Ind lots of tiny ones to find in the garden.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 04/04/2021 07:22

DS's dad and I are divorced so we get him 2 big eggs each, plus my mum and my grandad always get him one and he gets money from other family members. Then I did him an Easter hunt around the house and hid things like bags of mini eggs, little boxes of chocolates etc. I've also ordered some brownies from a local baker.

Not bothered if others think it's excessive, he's happy, I enjoy treating him and we can afford it.

HairboStrawb · 04/04/2021 07:27

DS got 1 egg from us, 1 from the childminder, 1 from his cousins and 1egg and some clothes from my parents. He's 2.5 so probably next year I will do an egg hunt with him.

sunnysidegold · 04/04/2021 07:29

A biggish egg each - it was slim pickings in Sainsbury's on Friday so an Oreo one and a m&m one. I bought little plastic eggs to hide in the garden. I'll put some.gunny bears or minieggs in these.

Wiaa · 04/04/2021 07:30

A small egg each and we do an egg hunt in the garden although usually we do it the day before but couldn't yesterday so will do it later today. They've already eaten some of 1 egg (they have 3 other eggs each from grandparents and aunt)

MrsWombat · 04/04/2021 07:36

They will get a medium-sized egg and an Aldi Easter Egg hunt kit in the garden.

knocke · 04/04/2021 07:39

Easter egg garden hunt - mix of plastic eggs & choc ones.

They have far too many Easter eggs due to being only grandkids & nieces/nephews so I will have to ration them or help them out.

sanfranfibber · 04/04/2021 07:47

Easter egg hunt in the garden with Lindt eggs and bunnies. Then they've got Easter games and activities, we'll do easy baking together, and a bbq with their grandparents. Can't wait!

sanfranfibber · 04/04/2021 07:48

*easter baking

Wingingitsince2018 · 04/04/2021 07:53

DS has got a new (to him!) Playhouse. We do a garden toy each year as his birthday is just before Christmas so not the best time for outdoor toys. We are also doing a little egg hunt in the garden, refillable eggs with some maltesers bunnies and little daim eggs and a bunny book and bubble blower.

WeKnowFrogsGoShaLaLaLaLa · 04/04/2021 08:02

They each have an egg, and some of the thing they gave up for lent. 🙂

Snuzzle · 04/04/2021 08:05

I bought DD an lol doll instead of an egg because she always gets loads of chocolate from other family members. I hid some plastic eggs around the house with little chocolate eggs inside for an egg hunt. We’ve also got an Easter bunny character visit booked for later that she doesn’t know about yet.

Temp023 · 04/04/2021 08:06

Barbecue with Nanny and Grandad.. yay!

lachy · 04/04/2021 08:08

DD has an egg from us and a couple of craft kits, then she's got bits and pieces from family members. That's plenty.

CeeceeBloomingdale · 04/04/2021 08:13

I've bought mine Easter hot chocolate bombs and shaped biscuits, mini Easter chocolate shapes, an egg, some books and I've also laid out a couple of items of clothing that they would be needing anyway but it adds to the fun. Preparing to be shot dow in flames now for over indulgence 🙄
