Nothing exciting today. Tomorrow nice roast lamb and will visit my parents in their garden for tea and cake. Monday lunch in the in laws garden.

Then two weeks of squabbling kids and boredom. Yay.

dementedma · 03/04/2021 19:55

Took elderly mum out for a potter. Cooked dinner. Now on MN

cliffdiver · 03/04/2021 19:56

We went to a local (outdoor) food market today.

Tomorrow we'll have an egg hunt, see my parents in their garden and then have MIL over for a roast.

TurquoiseDragon · 03/04/2021 19:57

Nothing much today. Coffee outdoors this morning with a couple of cousins I've not seen for a while.

Covid jab this afternoon, otherwise some shopping. Will be taking it easy tomorrow, and up at my ex's house on Monday continuing the clear up and bagging stuff for donating or selling on. Kids have inherited everything, and I get the grunt work Grin

YellowPurple · 03/04/2021 19:59

Nothing nice.

Still in lockdown.

Waiting for that 2nd jab....

Chunkymenrock · 03/04/2021 20:00

I was working. Going to bed soon, so a quite shit day! Not just you OP.

mamaduckbone · 03/04/2021 20:07

Nope, not really. Made mini egg tiffin with ds1 this morning, did some cleaning, read the papers, rank coffee, went for a walk. Stayed in my pjs until lunchtime. The dcs just want to see their friends this holiday after being stuck with us for so long, so no family days out on the cards really. (They are 15 and 11) We did make nice pizzas tonight and I had a glass of wine. Exciting times!

MrsBerthaRochester · 03/04/2021 20:07

Got really pissed last so didn't go to bed until 4am but awake at 9. Lay on couch watching movies until Ds2 asked if we could go for walk. 30 minute walk and back to lying on couch. Usually go to my dad's during Easter holidays. Haven't seen him in 18 months now. My life is shit.

mamaduckbone · 03/04/2021 20:08

*drank coffee. It wasn't rank, quite nice actually

36degrees · 03/04/2021 20:10

Sat in my garden and read a book. Sheer bliss and very rare that I'm able to make the time. Had a beer this evening and ate a slice of cake instead of dinner, back to the diet and work tomorrow.

fightingirish · 03/04/2021 20:14

Painted my fireplace, dh and the dog in bed sleeping off a roaring hangover, dog is the giver of all sympathy to dh, waiting for Chinese to deliver that's about as good as it gets !

Ladywinesalot · 03/04/2021 20:15

I went for a run
DH took ds to football practise
Cleaned house
Met friends for a family walk
Went shops to pick up dinner
Made dinner
Ate dinner
Tidyed up after dinner
Had wine
Watched Mrs Doubtfire
Having early night as exhausted

Tomorrow will garden and clean car

Stopsnowing · 03/04/2021 20:19

Nope! Shopped, cleaned, took kid to football practice, sat in cold park, tv.

beginningoftheend · 03/04/2021 20:20

Saturday of Easter weekend is always gardening in our house, so we had a walk, lunch then did some garden stuff. Nothing special other than the last baking bits for tomorrow.

Happy Easter everyone Flowers

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 03/04/2021 20:20

DS2 had his hair cut today so he's happy 😊

Iseeyoulookingatme · 03/04/2021 20:20

I've had a boring day, just housework a bit of gardening etc. I did put up my new curtains though.
I got some hot cross buns for tomorrow as we currently have no kitchen I won't be able to make a roast dinner or anything. We had a lovely takeaway for tea and I'm now trying to stay awake in bed.

Impatientwino · 03/04/2021 20:25

We've had DHs parents over for an afternoon tea style lunch in the garden with big fleecy blankets! Was so very nice to see them!

The rest of the day has been a very normal weekend lazy/pottering about day for us. They are my favourite!

FinallyHere · 03/04/2021 20:25

Painted the fence and side gate.

It looks a lot better than it did.

Very disappointed to report that unlike the days of Tom Sawyer, no queue formed of neighbourhood children eager to pay to paint a section.

Didicat · 03/04/2021 20:29

Several hours weeding and turning soil over in the garden, stew for dinner bath bed here

Megan2018 · 03/04/2021 20:31

Normal weekend here, I’m off but DH working all of it. I’m trying to juggle toddler and horse and general house chores.
Too cold to visit family so it’s just a normal weekend. I do have some booze and lots of choc and cake as just had a birthday and DD has lots of things so will do a very simple egg hunt for her tomorrow in garden.
But no nice meals planned, bloody chicken pasta tomorrow and chilli on Monday (DD favourite).
I’d have loved a big family roast. But hey ho Sad

Freshprincess · 03/04/2021 20:40

Same old Saturday for me.

I picked up my click and collect, realised that I hadn’t saved my final order yesterday so still had to go round the bloody shop. I’m such an idiot. I had 2 measly trays to pick up.

In better news, saw loads of people when I was running this morning and stopped to chat to most of them. Go me with a 90 minute 5k.

lachy · 03/04/2021 21:00

DD and I did some baking this morning. I've done 3 loads of washing, hoovered, made tea (toad in the hole) played barbies, and not a lot else. We might do an egg hunt tomorrow, but DD has a cold and is a bit emotional 😢 so just wants cuddles.

Kitkat151 · 03/04/2021 21:23

Got up at 8am
Dropped my adult son at a&e ( infected foot)
Stopped off at my friends on way back...it’s her birthday...took her flowers and had a cuppa in the garden with her
Met my daughter and 2 of my grandchildren in park then they came back to ours for a play and then snack in the garden with my Mum and partner
Made a carrot cake
Prepared veg for tomorrow’s roast
Had an Indian takeaway with my partner son and Mum
Sitting chilling now with the dog

Veuvestar · 03/04/2021 21:51

I’ve just let the dog out and there’s at least 3 fire pits going and can hear loads of groups of people
It’s 5 degrees!

Stuck in isolating thanks to staff member at my child’s nursery.

You should be thanking them, for risking their health to look after your child.[/quote]
Absolutely right.

Hope the staff member gets well soon.
