I've bought lamb shanks to make kleftico for lunch tomorrow, planning to eat around 1.30. I'm doing then in the slow cooker. Just looked up a recipe and it says cook for 7 hours so I'd have to set an alarm for 6 which I didnt fancy. So I'm cooking them now. Our kitchen's quite cold over night so I thought I could get away with turning slow cooker off when I go to bed around 12. Then they'll sit there cooling all night. Then heat up again in the morning. If that's too risky I could cook them now for around 5 hours then they'd have time to cool and could go in the fridge overnight. And go back in slow cooker in the morning.
