I'm just finishing my cuppa, then off to get dressed.

We're going for a walk into town, to the market and Home Bargains. Maybe Poundland too, we'll see how busy it is.

When we get in, there's a couple of loads of washing to do, and the floors could do with hoovering upstairs, and sweeping downstairs.

We'll have a chilled afternoon after that; the girls will likely Minecraft/watch Minecraft streamers and I'll carry on with dd2's crochet blanket.

Not sure what's for tea yet but it'll be accompanied by a glass of wine.

What about you lot? :)

Juggling looking after a newborn and toddler. Need to go to the supermarket, get some stuff done around the house and try to stay sane. Confused

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 03/04/2021 09:27

Waiting in for some locally made pies to be delivered (tomorrow's lunch).
Nipping to the supermarket for salad to go with the quiche I'm making later, and some booze.
Going to do some sewing.
Need to start sorting out the box room, ready for getting a new wardrobe in there and then hopefully starting to turn it into a dressing room/study.

Tonight will be a drink or three and either a film or some music.

Have a lovely day, everyone!

itsgettingwierd · 03/04/2021 09:32

Funnily enough I am also walking into town!

Haven't been since last November when I braved it for xmas cards!

I want some Easter stuff and some laminating pouches. Plus it's getting out!

I may even treat ds to a subway if he agrees to walk it with me rather than drive.

He's still coming too though as being 16 he's only just out of bed. I've been up 3 hours Grin

Waterfallgirl · 03/04/2021 09:34

Jet washing the patio before having my next door neighbours around in the garden for hot cross buns and a mini Easter egg hunt for their DC (5). Weekly Skype call with friends tonight, usually a few glasses of wine whilst we chat.

TheWoollybacksWife · 03/04/2021 09:36

Drinking a cup of tea while the house is quiet. DD2 is at work - everyone else is still upstairs. I'm doing a bit of my knitting while I've got some peace.

We had a blitz on all the housework yesterday so the weekend looks like being fairly lazy. Off to the butcher later and then Tesco this afternoon for a click and collect order. Pizza/pasta for dinner and I might just have a glass of something nice later too.

Happy Easter @Lucysmam 🐣🐰 Having a day in today getting prepped for lunch tomorrow and generally cleaning the house. DH is about to go for his first Covid vaccination. I'm going to drag myself off the sofa and empty the freezer to defrost it, put some washing on and do prep for Easter lunch. Will be something from the freezer for tea (no cooking and free some space) and a bottle of wine 🍷

Alfiemoon1 · 03/04/2021 09:53

Taking the dog to the vets then going to meet my mum in her garden as it’s her birthday and she’s had a load of delivered she wants shifting having some afternoon teas delivered to keep us going

Coffeeandcake36 · 03/04/2021 10:02

Having a lazy morning here, then off out for a walk through the woods and visit grandparents in the garden so dc can pass on home made easter cards then back home for afternoon tea Grin.

SimonJT · 03/04/2021 10:04

I’m going to be babysitting a two year old and an eight week old and a dog, so we’re not venturing that far today, just the local parks and a little picnic for lunch if it stays dry. I’ve got some tarpaulin so we can do a bit of messy play later.

Tonight when my son and the toddler are in bed we’re hoping to watch a film, just depends what the baby is like really.

BeautyQueenIamNot · 03/04/2021 10:12

I’ve put a load of washing on.
I want to wash all the bedding today.
Need to pop to a shop to get some food bits and bobs.
Then need to do some cleaning

Justonedayatatime11 · 03/04/2021 10:56

DH and I both have suspected food poisoning Sad. So doing very very little other than looking after all the animals and trying really hard to keep DD(7) amused bless her. Hope everyone has a lovely Easter weekend

wendz86 · 03/04/2021 10:59

Kids are at their dads till later. I have got up and found a couple of things to list on facebook selling pages.
Going to clean kitchen cupboards in a bit and maybe a walk later.

Midlifelady · 03/04/2021 11:01

About to have very late breakfast, then off to Waitrose to collect food order which will include lovely lamb for tomorrow and a few Easter eggs as my suggestion to my 15 year old that maybe we skip an egg hunt this year was met with horror (and she doesn't even like chocolate).
I'll have a lazy rest of the day reading done magazines and last weeks Sunday papers!
I believe I've promised chicken curry for dinner tonight.
I've heard both kids get up but all quiet on that front at the moment.

Silverfly · 03/04/2021 11:05

DH has taken DS2 to play a football match (for the first time since mid Dec!).

I'm just doing a bit of tidying, later on we're doing an Easter egg hunt (even though the DC are a bit old for it now) and then some friends are coming over for outdoor lunch. Two families, within guidelines etc. Will be a bit chilly but we don't care as it will be so nice to see them!

StCharlotte · 03/04/2021 11:06

DH has gone out for a long walk with his brother so I'm enjoying the peace. I need to to pop to the shops at some point. About to get dressed properly and do a bit of housework. Tescos order coming this afternoon. Then I might have a nice bath with a book. Family Zoom quiz tonight. No plans tomorrow but lunch with friends on Monday. It's going to be freezing and I suspect we mught break the rules and creep indoors Blush

DrunkenKoala · 03/04/2021 11:10

So far this morning I’ve hung a load of washing out and put my Sainsbury’s delivery away. DP has bathed the DC and changed our bed.
Currently having a cup of tea. This afternoon DD and I are going to make and decorate Easter cupcakes. We’re having sausages for dinner and we’ll be having a glass of wine. We started watching Line of Duty last week, now on the second season so we’ll watch a couple of episodes tonight.

ShipshapeShore · 03/04/2021 11:10

I'm just wondering if it's possible to pass out from boredom. Going for a walk with the DC and my Mum later (walks are a novelty, right? 😂) but that's it. DH working all Easter as usual. I'm at that point of total demotivation today. Some of you sound like you're having a lovely time - good for you! I'm not being sarcastic, I'm happy that there's are nice things going on and not everyone is totally fed up ☺ I just need to get out then I'll perk up a bit.

RagzReturnsRebooted · 03/04/2021 11:15

Had a lazy morning in bed as I woke at 8am (unusual for me for a weekend, usually it's more like 10!), had breakfast and coffee in bed. Read MN. Had a bath. Everyone else seems to be awake now, finally!
Off to town briefly to get some booze and find some logs.
Barbecue and drinks around the firepit (guiltily, after reading the thread about them last night but it's cold and we use it very rarely) with next door neighbours this evening.
DH will probably work a bit and then set up the outdoor table. DCs will likely ignore us and hide in their rooms until the barbecue (teens/tweens so expected to get their own breakfast and lunch, though DD needs prompting and occasional help).
Have new solar lights arriving between 12-3 so hoping for some sunshine to charge them in time for the barbecue!

MinnieMountain · 03/04/2021 11:30

I had a swim. It was bloody freezing but felt amazing afterwards.

DH and DS popped to the local shop for last minute things we forgot and now we’re waiting for my sister and her family to arrive for a BBQ.

BiddyPop · 03/04/2021 11:38

Just finishing coffee and a sausage sandwich in the garden.

About to go spend a couple of hours in local Scout den getting a boat ready for summer launch next weekend (only 2 Leaders allowed work on it at a time even though outdoors, usually all boat work done by senior scouts, roughly 100 Scouts doing at least 10 hours each across spring....).

DH and I will work on back garden for a couple of hours in the afternoon. Including debating how to puppyproof it...as it sounds like I've lost the battle on us being a pet free house. (Dd, with ASD/ADHD and teen angst, needs something to empathise with, and DH has wanted a dog for years) - DH grew up with and was main carer for dogs until he left for Uni, so he knows what's involved to do it right.

We got a nice steak for BBq tonight, before the weather turns overnight.

I'm ending the evening by hosting a virtual campfire in the back garden for my Cubs, as we're doing a virtual Easter camp with hem this weekend - they are all desperate to have some adventures after not being away overnight since November 2019, so have missed 4 trips so far and summer camp is still looking very iffy. We've been doing meetings by zoom relatively successfully but this is wildly ambitious by the leaders so hopefully it works!!! (At least it's only an hour!)

Bellaphant · 03/04/2021 12:01

Up early with ds, then did some Packing/sorting for moving. Been to the cold park, picked up bin bags and then a free lampshade, book and croissants from people using olio.

Going to feed Ds, hopefully nap with him, do some cleaning and make Easter nests later. Then speak to my bff, salmon and green beans for dinner, a bit of chores as we have friends in the garden for a bit tomorrow.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 03/04/2021 12:15

I am still recuperating from surgery on my foot. So I am doing excercises (ballet toes and draw backs) to get my toes moving again and resting the foot 'above heart hight'.
So I read, do Duolingo and FutureLearn, while the rest of the family does essential housework and cooking.
