If this had been drugs, there would have been an instaban and prison sentences. Dogs kill far more than drugs ever have. Why do we put up with (a) this, and (b) allowing the sort of knuckle dragger who owned these beasts to even stay free on our streets ?

I wonder how many dog deaths are of the owners, compared to bystanders as in this case ?

It's an awful story but I think you'll find drugs, cigarettes and cars are each higher killers than dogs, cattle too probably.

In 2020 there were 4393 deaths by drug poisoning in England and Wales.

I can only see one reported death by dog attack for 2020.

I think we do need a dog registration scheme, some common rules about who cannot have a dog, and lifetime bans for animal cruelty. I am also thinking the scope of the dangerous dogs act to include more breeds or cross breeds should be done.

Yes this is sad, shocking and should never have happened, but nowhere does it say the man responsible for the dogs isnt being prosecuted, and your statement about dogs causing more deaths than drugs is just fabrication.
