I just texted my 14 year old DD to say I could collect her at 5 and got the above reply. I don't even really know it means but I need an appropriate reply.

Help an old lady out please.

Grin sorry I can't definitely say because I don't have teens but what a brilliant text to recieve Grin

I personally guess it means Thanks Mum that's great but I could be very wrong.

Celeryhead · 02/04/2021 14:52

"Thanks mum, that's so good of you"

depopsa · 02/04/2021 14:53

My 11yo says it means that it's 'very good good' of you, with accompanying 'noice' 👌👌 hand gesture. He says to answer, 'that's fine' and if you make that hand gesture on her leg, you are allowed to punch her.

"No problem, little gosling"

Pinkstars2501 · 02/04/2021 14:54

According to Urban Dictionary "cash money" means cool... Who knew 🤷🏻‍♀️

Well! Me and dp like to think we’re cool by using the term cash money but I sure as hell didn’t have a clue it had a new meaning! When did I get old and how do I make it stop?

I have to say, kids who call their parents things like mother goose give me life 🤣

BrennieGirl · 02/04/2021 15:01

Thank you all. I don't suppose she'll even notice if I send her a 'cool' reply. Also I realise saying cool probably makes me sound like even more of an old lady!

They're funny with their little names for us aren't they? I'm also known as Mammy Surname to my older DD and her friends.

Mine use Goat as a reply or a goat emoji. Was going on weeks before I caved and asked what it meant.
Greatest of all time apparently. And everyone knows that!

Couchbettato · 02/04/2021 15:14

Aha I always say cash-money 😶‍🌫️

BrennieGirl · 02/04/2021 15:17

I might end getting into an emoji battle at this rate.

I really like Goat though. I'll use it at the earliest opportunity.
