Anyone else who can't stop watching crappy Dhar Mann videos?

Probably a niche question...Wink

They're all over my Facebook, they're utter schmaltzy crap and yet I can't stop watching them. Please tell me I'm not his only viewer!

There's something strangely compelling about them and I hate myself for this.

CaffeineAndCrochet · 02/04/2021 11:01

I've only seen one. The one about the money hidden under one seat in the audience but the horrible woman didn't want to sit next to an overweight woman so she missed out on it. The acting was... something else.

ZackaryQuack · 02/04/2021 11:01

I fall into holes every few weeks and will watch 3 or 4 videos... they're not good, totally predictable and sometimes really bad advice. But like @booksandwool said, there is something compelling about them, they're addictive and you get pulled in.

Rockbird · 02/04/2021 11:02

That was the first video that lured me in Grin The acting is shocking but I can't stop. I hate myself too.

My 10yo came across them and loves them. She's also one for a motivational quote or two!

ZackaryQuack · 02/04/2021 11:08

Ahhh the first one I watched was about a couple that couldn't get pregnant
Then his mistress turned up pregnant, he left his wife.
Wife met a new man, had a baby, bumped into ex, mistresses baby wasn't his.

The story revolved around how she was the problem and the reason they weren't getting pregnant, when infact he was the one with the problem... I couldn't work out why the hospital didn't suggest him getting tests.

I was hooked after that, and couldn't stop, they're as outlandish and unbelievable as they are predictable I find.

There's one young girl who always plays the poor/adopted/bullied student. I keep hoping he'll give her an upbeat part, she always looks so downtrodden Grin

There's a brilliant one about a rude, rich woman who is utterly vile to a shop assistant.

Then, the woman's rich husband buggers off with someone else and the woman realises how horrible she was to the shop assistant.

Rich woman ends up having to take a retail job to make ends.

She realises her folly and apologises to the shop assistant.

51andFabulous · 02/04/2021 11:24

I'm glad it's not just me.... The blonde woman who gets all the 'evil friend/housemate/mistress' roles, she's my favourite. She's so nasty 😂

PrincessPea11 · 03/04/2021 09:31

They never really seem to show the men at fault, do they? It annoys me so much I end up watching in full to see if the next one will be any less crap

Iwouldlikesomecake · 03/04/2021 09:57

They are hilarious!

potoftea · 03/04/2021 10:04

They are ridiculous, badly acted, and funny.
But I can't stop watching them when they pop up, and I read the comments, and people seem full of praise and reiterate the message... so I wonder do people believe them?

BathshebaKnickerStickers · 03/04/2021 10:05

That filled first lockdown for me. We aren’t making movies, we’re changing lives...

Everyday21 · 03/04/2021 10:10

I got sucked in a while ago but they really are shit 😂

pontiouspilates · 03/04/2021 10:11

Yup, they are hilarious.

Jampot1 · 03/04/2021 10:16

Love them

I've been sucked in to watching more since this thread 😂

There's one guy - bald with a beard - who plays a horrible husband or son who has to be shown how to appreciate his wife or mother. There's one where he sets out a load of gift bags for his wife's birthday and inside them is pieces of paper with words like 'rent' on them because his money has kept a roof over her head all year.

Rockbird · 03/04/2021 13:48

Maybe I should ask for the thread title to be changed to Dhar Mann Fam Grin

What on earth are they for? I watched one the other day about a rich selfish idiot who was forced to work as a waiter by his dad to discover humility or something who then turned down a car to give the money to another waiter for an ear operation.

Why is a company funding these badly acted morality tales?

Housewife2010 · 29/05/2021 16:26

Just discovered Dhar Mann. My son is a fan. The videos are so cheesy and addictive.

JustMarriedAndLovingIt · 29/05/2021 16:42

I thought it was just me with my shameful secret 😆 They’re so crap yet I keep watching them.

Noshowlomo · 29/05/2021 16:44

They’re awful! But so brilliant.
The blonde actress... gawd she’s awful

LynetteScavo · 29/05/2021 16:49

They are so awful. I avoid them now because I know If I start watching one I'll
Keep watching until the end. Life is too short.

Ilovemaisie · 29/05/2021 16:53

I prefer those weird (fake?) dandruff removal vids. Oddly addictive.

mybrainhertz · 29/05/2021 17:09

Oh god, I love these 😆
