£500 for those on Tax Credits

I've just had a text abiut the £500 for those on Tax Credits. Now technically I qualify for tax credits (not the working part) but I dont actually get any money as the tiny amount I'm owed they take back to repay an overpayment (thats another long story of incompetence) do you think because I got the text im getting the £500 or do you think its a general thing? I could really do with £500 right now but don't want to get my hopes up. Anyone know?

According to Twitter replies from HMRC you will get the payment if you've received a text.

Those in were in receipt of WTC up to March 2nd 2021 are entitled even if you're earnings put you to £0 payments.

We are also paying back an overpayment and have £500 left... I'm guessing they will just deduct it from the "debt" but it will free up £50 a month so I'm not complaining either way :)

I've had this message but don't receive any tax credits at all, so assumed it was a generic text. Don't want to scare people who are hoping to receive it,..perhaps someone gave my number in error!?
