Has anyone seen any decent ones today? There are usually a couple in the newspapers or on TV but I haven't seen either! The funnier the better - this week has been emotionally and physically draining and I need something to make me smile today!!

Hotcuppatea I wouldn't have seen that as an April Fool tbh - seems like an eminently sensible suggestion given the chaos the blockage caused 🤣🤣🤣 Maybe my exhaustion is dulling my perceptive abilities to spot a joke 😁

Just glanced through some papers trouble is some news is beyond belief these days I couldn't work any out!

On Reddit, the United Kingdom subreddit mods have put a German flag up and are translating all posts into German. Some real Germans and other posters have joined in with the help of translate apps and were having a debate about which German product should take over from Jaffa Cakes last I looked. And a suggestion that the Queen should hand the crown to Angela Merkel next.

I worked on a magazine about the internet in the late 90s, and I remember being unable to tell which of the press releases we received on April Fools Day were a joke and which were real, so unutterably bonkers were the majority of internet related business plans back in the day.
