How do I find information and reviews for the food producers who supply the supermarkets?

what sort of food? fruit and veg? meat? fish? milk? baked goods? groceries?

I actually work for a chilled pudding producer that supplies Waitrose, Asda and many others. Unless the product says where and who makes it, your best bet is to get in touch with who you buy from. They usually deal with complaints and reviews on behalf of suppliers and 'pass the message on'

Hope this helps

WHY DO YOU WANT TO KNOW?

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Agree that you need to contact the supermarket about the product you are interested in. There's lots of different companies and you get both main brand suppliers who also make supermarket brands, plus 'Unbranded' companies who make both branded and supermarket own brand items.

There's also TV programmes where you get a bit of an insight, eg on one of these programmes, they compared boxes of chocolate biscuits sold at Christmas and it's quite well known that they're all made by Fox's.

They also do comparisons in Eat Well for Less

But a lot of the time, it's very much personal preference, so you just have to try things to see what you like.
