April fools ideas?

Inspired by the thread about playing April fools tricks on your kids I’d love to play a clever trick on DP. Something fun and lighthearted, nothing nasty.

He’s always been the joker in our relationship and is always pulling my leg so I’d love to get him back. Any ideas?

Well, I just spent the last 20 minutes sending my husband and kids facebook messages in Khmer. Daughter recognised it straight away as she has lived in Cambodia, so she was messaging her dad and he was convinced I'd got a virus. He is now sulking that I got him at 12.05am Grin

Can you link to the other thread for inspiration?

Has he ever seen

Wake him up with a "leek" in the bathroom.
The old ones are the best Grin

I like the onions-disguised-as-chocolate-apples-on-a-stick trick

I hate it and think it's stupid, it always ruins my birthday, which is the 1st April. It's childish and immature IMO

Billandben444 · 01/04/2021 02:45

Yup, some things are best left to children and the Daily Mail. Any personal ones usually involve having a laugh at someone else's expense - never a good look.

FizzyPink · 01/04/2021 08:21

Ooohh I love the leek idea! He gets very stressed out when things go wrong in the house so that could be a good one

Might be a bit late but I freeze my daughter's cereal overnight so it's hard when she tries to eat it in the morning 🤭

Heartofstrings · 01/04/2021 08:37

I've seen one where you get a sheet and tape it around a closed door with a little gap at the top - fill the sheet with blown up balloons so when he opens the door, the balloons fall on him

we enjoy it 🤷‍♀️.
It's all part of the "ohno not another bad mum joke" thing I have going on with my daughter 🙂
