I have had a leg of lamb in the freezer for over a year. It was a yellow sticker, so on its 'use by date' when I bought and froze it. Would you defrost and eat it after this long?
Tell me I can .... Smile

Of course

idontlikealdi · 31/03/2021 21:33

Of course unless it's frost bitten - loads of icy particles all over it, it changes the texture when it's like that.

Longdistance · 31/03/2021 21:34

Yes.

GreenGordon · 31/03/2021 21:39

I’ve today eaten a pack of mince from the freezer with a use by date of February 2017

SorryPardonWhat · 31/03/2021 21:41

I probably wouldn't serve it to guests just in case it tastes a bit of the freezer. But I'd happily cook it for just us!

GettingItOutThere · 31/03/2021 21:55

depends... do you have mint sauce?

Chewbecca · 31/03/2021 22:02

I would but not for a special occasion (Easter Sunday for example), in case it wasn’t at its best.

loobylou10 · 31/03/2021 22:04

@GreenGordon Smile. I have found my people!! Thanks all, I'll cook.

I would, but probably not a straightforward roast but something like kleftiko so it's tender and flavourful.

bumpdownthestairs · 31/03/2021 22:05

Yes to the Lamb but not sure I fancy going to @GreenGordon for my dinner 😂 sure it was fine I'm just not that brave!
