I would post this on forces but not sure anybody goes on there!

Can anybody help with what you're allowed to send BFPO?

DH ordered some stuff on Amazon direct to his BFPO address but it got sent back. He's reordered to home for me to send on. Anybody know why loose leaf tea or over the counter medicines would be rejected? I know it could have been a problem with the packaging or something but just want to check before this lot gets sent back as well!

I had a quick Google and didn't see any reason they couldn't be sent. However, is DH in a country where receipt of those items is not allowed?

Ooh good thinking, thanks Veni. DH seemed to think it was fine originally but I'll see if I can find anything country specific!

Again google, wonder if there are issues with import/export for example if previously covered by EU rules. I don’t understand the link but might be useful to see if you need to do a customs declaration

Thanks horrid, I have seen the customs forms popping up when I've been looking into it so I'll definitely do those if I need to. We've done this twice before and never needed customs info so Brexit and change of rules could be a factor.

Having said that, surely Amazon would have completed a customs form if needed? He has had one delivery from Amazon so far so stuff is getting to him, it's just this package that was rejected.

Also, the parcel was rejected at BFPO in the U.K. so it hadn't even got to the county where he is. Not sure if they do the customs checks in the U.K., I would have assumed it happened at the destination.

Maybe I'll send everything individually to try to work out what it is I'm not allowed to send!
