Earning money while furloughed?

I am currently on furlough until my maternity leave starts in the summer. I want to earn a little extra to top my wage up before the MAT pay kicks in.

Is this allowed?

If so, do you have any recommendations for work I can do from home? In ‘real life’ I am a nursery manager but don’t wish to nanny. I’m experienced in admin.

I have a few hours daily while my oldest is in preschool.

No legal reason why you can’t, but it depends on your contract with your employers which may prohibit moonlighting. Probably best to mention it to them and get an official OK on the record.
