Is anyone going to be around a bit longer?

I'm getting increasingly nervous about being on site again within the next 48 hours after these lockdowns, very high temperature (not COVID, tonsilitus) and my best friend texted me earlier to say he was busy tonight so speak to me tomorrow. That's the first time he's ever said that to me so I was too astonished to reply.

If anyone else is up, what are you up to?

Try not to worry too much.
Where do you need to be?

Frownette · 31/03/2021 00:12

I know where I'll have to be. It's just so weird trotting out again, I feel like I'm doing something wrong after being effectively trapped in a cage.

I'd like to hear what other people are up to?

You'll be okay.

I'm up. I'm in bed and should be going to sleep really.

I've been going to work throughout. The world is much the same as it was before. It was weird the first few times I went out (way back in lockdown one), but you get used to being out again fairly quickly.

Ah op I do think it’s different for people who have essentially been in the house for a year it must take its toll and I can see why you are nervous .

If you are nervous of the virus of itself then I have worked and shopped for food etc as normal all through this it’s fine I promise !!

Mine is more the social side when we can go do stuff again it’s going to feel so weird !!!

No, I can vouch for @Frownette, she's a regular on a long running series of threads

QueenPaw · 31/03/2021 00:32

I'm awake. Not my cat just tapped on the window to be let in and has brought another not my cat with him Confused
My cat is doing WTF face at the goings on

Frownette · 31/03/2021 00:45

Rogue no that wasn't nasty. I think you are remembering a thread I started when I was distressed.

Eggy thank you. I've just had an allergic reaction to penicillin so am going through waves of fever and a bit frightened about work again.

I very nearly cried in a shop few hours ago because my face mask broke, shop lady was lovely and got me one out the back.

I'll try to settle down and go to sleep now, night all, thank you for talking to me

Hi @Frownette, we have chatted off and on on different posts before.
Sorry to hear you are not feeling great , is it possible your friend is getting things ready for work / DCs school or just a bit preoccupied ? I would not take it to heart that he cant talk tonight .

I finished work at 11pm so have been home a hr and just had roast beef , chips and beans for tea while listening to Billy idol very loud ( with head phones on )

SparklingLime · 31/03/2021 00:49

Hope you sleep well 💤

wingsnthat · 31/03/2021 00:58

Start it slow, maybe begin by walking to the end of your road and go back home to test the waters and then gradually increase how far you go as you get more comfortable. You don’t have to rush in by visiting shops or parks.

The quietest time of day actually tends to be early morning now.

I’m up because I have a job interview tomorrow for my dream job and feel so fucking anxious! This job could really change my life
