Hello!
Looking for some sort of bike or sit on/ride on for my 3.3 year old please Smile
Hes had a scuttle bug for around 18 months but won't sit on, he insists on dragging it around instead. Obviously this is now too small for him. He also has a sit on car that he's had for 2.5 years but again won't sit on it.
He's got a motorised motorcycle that he's also had for 2.5 years and he's only just started sitting on it. Annoyingly it will no longer charge (I didn't realise I still had to charge it even when not being used), and is too hard to push so is no good. To be honest though I think he's probably too big for it anyway.
So, I've been looking at islabikes and frog but am wary in case he won't use it. I've no idea what to get! Please help! Or do I give up on the idea of a bike?

I'd do away with the ride-ons and get him on a proper bike! Or a balance bike, to start with.

I was looking at the Isla rothan balance bike but googling it looks like it's only suitable up to age 3. I've seen so many children whizzing round the park on balance bikes but the majority look alot younger than my son. Is my son too old for a balance bike?

Perhaps - we never used a balance bike, so I was unaware about the age range for them. In all honesty I put my DD on a 'proper' bike when she was 3 (no stabilisers) and just put a lot of daily time in with her until she could ride it, unaided. If you have the time I would suggest just get him on a proper bike! It was a bit of an intensive crash course for her - and I was lucky to have the time over the summer hols - but it was worth it. Get him on a proper bike, I say!

That was my thought, get him a proper bike, at least if he doesn't use it this year it can go away for next year.
Is there such a bike as one that can be used se as a balance bike then add the pedals to it when ready?

We just took the pedals off a normal bike to begin with the pedals should just unscrew off.
