I have just bought my first "proper" computer in nearly 10 years, I used to work in admin and IT but apparently I have forgotten EVERYTHING

I'm majorly putting google through its paces trying to find how to do stuff

At the moment it keeps telling me off about windows updates and security and I don't know what I need to do or what I'm doing wrong

Yes! Several times I just keel getting flipping emails telling me the same message

Do the updates and follow the security instructions?

I am trying to find updates etc they weren't there last time I checked before last restart I've now on this restart received a message with a link that's taken me to the option to update and download my version of windows - why wasn't this easier to find before? So unnecessarily complicated

Techy people - can you recommend me a tutorial online - video, written or combo - for using msoffice (I learned a loooong time ago so I used to be pretty good at this stuff but after 10 years of not using I need a refresher/update) abs also maybe on other apps and software?

So I again plead for recommendations of tutorials/guides to using the applications

The in package tutorial is frankly useless! Skips basics and assumes a level of knowledge in some aspects and is plain wrong in others "click x" when "x" doesn't appear on my version! So frustrating!

I just want basic info on using the applications most efficiently.
