Can I put one in while having sex? Won't it feel weird?

No experience but they also do disks now which sit over the cervix and catch the blood. I would be less worried about infection with that than with a sponge

I’ve never tried one but yes they’re a thing and they’re designed to be worn during sex if you wish

Dd uses one and is very happy with it.
