I washed my new smartwatch

I bought a new smartwatch. It's not a fitbit. It's an amazon cheapie. I washed it in the machine by accident. The battery is now nearly gone and it won't charge for me. Is this thing gone or any way to save it

Yes, completely buried within a bag of rice for 48 hours minimum will draw out all the moisture. Is it possible to turn it off during this? Best for it not to be trying to put electricity through its circuits while there is water where it shouldn't be. Whether it then works totally depends on the watch. My smartwatch claims to be submersible to a depth of 10 metres so I imagine it might survive being washed (though I don't intend to try).
