Baby exposed to covid

Please reassure me....
My son has tested positive for covid today after exposure at school. He is well and I am not (overly) worried about him.
I am worried about my 4 month old baby. She has of course had prolonged exposure and actually has a very very mild cough for a few days. She is exclusively breastfed which I know will help her. DH & I have both had 1st immunisations
Has anyone else has a baby who may have had covid?

My DH and I both had covid at Christmas caught from our school age son. My breastfed baby (10 months old) did not have any symptoms despite being in close contact with me. Try not to worry, babies are normally fine.

Mine is a bit older (12 months at the time). He definitely had covid before me and my husband started with symptoms. He was more clingy, sleeping badly, had a temp and a cough. He was back to his usual self within a week, although had a dry sounding nighttime cough for a bit longer. He’s now absolutely fine.

Try not to worry. I’m sure your little one will be fine, even if she does seem to have it. Lots of extra cuddles for you both Flowers

DD (5 months at the time) had Covid in January along with me, DH and DS (2.5). She was absolutely fine - it was essentially like a very mild cold. She's much more poorly right now with an actual cold! I know it's really anxiety inducing but please try not to worry, the vast majority of kids have very few symptoms.

Children are almost always ok unless they have severe underlying conditions. AFAIK only 7 children under 10 have died in the U.K so your baby will be fine. Babies are pretty robust.

It's horrible when the little ones are poorly isn't it. She's all out of sorts and I imagine she has a headache like her big brother. Regular calpol it is then for tonight
