What Cranleigh like to live in?

Hi all... I'm new and please need your help. I'm a single mum of a 13yr old and looking to move to Cranleigh, buying our first home. Could you please advice me on what the area is like to live in and also what the state secondary schools are like as I can't afford private schooling. As this would really impact our decision.Thank you so much.

I used to live near there and it seems a really nice area and has a great Indian restaurant! This was pre-DCs so no idea about schools, sorry not much help, hopefully someone else will comment soon.
