Hello I’m going though my second miscarriage one in December last year and again this March. I was wondering if anyone had any positive stories of going on to have a baby after a 2nd miscarriage

So sorry for your loss ❤️

Do you have any other children?
I can’t answer your question, but I know how it feels to have an angel baby.
Sending you lots of love x

Hi Meg, so sorry that you’re going through this. Make sure you take care of yourself. I had two miscarriages and because I was late 30s I had all the tests and the only thing they could find was that I had a slight progesterone deficiency but they said that it shouldn’t cause me to miscarry. I miscarried a third time. Pregnancy no 4 though was successful and I have a nine year old now. Wishing you well and a future successful pregnancy xx

I'm sorry to hear your news @Meg32.

I had a Mmc at 9 weeks in September and then a Mc at 6 weeks over Christmas. I am now 6 weeks along with my third pregnancy and it feels different. I am of course wary of every little twinge but I'm hopeful this one will stick and be healthy. We don't have any other children and have been ttc since jan 2020 so it's been a long emotional road for us.

Sending you lots of best wishes. Just take care of yourself and be kind to yourself. xx

@Meg32 you are not alone - I had a miscarriage 27 Nov and just found out that this pregnancy is going the same way. Never managed a successful delivery yet, but at least this time I got to see a heartbeat before it failed.

Meg32 · 29/03/2021 13:57

I’m so sorry for your loss. It’s honestly the worst time of your life it’s horrible nothing prepares you for it

Mydogisagentleman · 29/03/2021 14:47

Sorry for your losses.
I finally, after 9 including a 21 weeks one, had a DD.
I collect her on Thursday from university

Norwaydidnthappen · 29/03/2021 15:13

So sorry for your losses Flowers. I had two missed miscarriages discovered at 11 and 12 weeks (heartbeat stopped at 7 and 9 weeks) before my 2 year old was born. He’s perfectly healthy and fine. Had a miscarriage at 5 weeks between him and my 8 month old too. It’s a devastating thing but thankfully rare to have three in a row.

Meg32 · 29/03/2021 15:30

Thank you all for posting back it’s good to talk to other women who have experienced this . My partner is very supportive he’s the best.

So sorry, OP. It's horrible and heartbreaking.

I had two miscarriages in three months - one at 4 weeks, one at 8.

I was utterly desolate.

Conceived again three months later. He's yelling in the garden right now.

Hang in there Flowers

Meg32 · 29/03/2021 20:03

Thank you @teawamutu it’s hard not to think that it’s your fault and give up hope but right trying to stay positive

I blamed myself and felt like an utter failure. When I got the bfp that became ds2 I wasn't even pleased; I was on mc-watch, and didn't even begin to think I was actually having a baby until 25 weeks or so.

It goes to the core of you and it's bloody lonely, but so many of us have been there with you.

Meg32 · 29/03/2021 20:32

Can’t believe so many women go through this, so glad there is mumsnet to talk it does feel like the loneliest time. I’m just hoping things r ok next time and that everyone gets their rainbow babies

Yes, I had 2 mc and I have 2 dc - teenagers now.

I had a friend who had 2 consecutive mc then 3 babies in close succession.

skylover · 29/03/2021 22:43

Hey, I'm so sorry you are going through this. I had 2 MMC then I had my daughter, then 2 more MMC. We decided we were happy with our one little girl and not to continue trying for a multitude of reasons and I have no regrets. So in answer to your question - yes we were 3rd time lucky. I hope you will be too Thanks

Sunbird24 · 30/03/2021 21:31

I’ve ended up in A&E with excessive bleeding. Think I’m wearing an adult nappy, very glamorous!
