We live in a 3 bedroom terraced house on a fairly busy road . I've been researching how to reduce the monumental amount of dust living on such a road produces in our home , not to mention the interesting aromas in our teenagers bedrooms and fumes from passing traffic when the windows are open .
Air purifiers seem to be the answer to my air quality problems , but there are just sooooooo many different ones . So I'm turning to the wise people of mumsnet for your advice and reccomendations , would probably work best for us to have a small one in each room as teens seem to have a severe aversion to leaving their doors open !!!

If you’ve landed here looking for air purifier recommendations, we’ve recently updated our best air purifiers page with lots of great options, as tried and tested by Mumsnet users. We hope you find it useful. Flowers

I started my search at Allergy U.K. as they have an endorsed range which are proven to tackle dust, mould and pollen particles.
I have this one, which is at the cheaper end. It has a tray to add scented oils.
I’m very happy with it:

I have a Vax AP03. Very pleased with it. It does a bedroom very well. It's not super small and it does have a fan like noise, but I tend to put it on when I am not in the room. It definitely freshens the air. We had painters doing the halls and I had terrible headaches, it really helped then. I also use it if I am feeling chesty.

I actually bought it on ebay, it was about 150. I don't always use it, but the times I do, its helped or comforted.
