Does anyone know if you can block an account from sending money into your bank account?

I haven't heard of that but I'd be surprised if there was a way to do it.

If you don't want to receive money from someone could you open a new unconnected account?

I think you'd have to just open a new account

I believe that you can request that your bank refuses to accept money paid into your account from certain sources, but you would need to check with them. They might also want to know why.

Unless you're worried about money laundering or proceeds of crime being paid in, I don't think the bank would be interested in rejecting payments.

There's nothing to stop the payer sending from a different account anyway, so the obvious solution is for you to change your account. It's a very straightforward thing to do.
