Has anyone built IKEA pax corner wardrobe? How do they join?

Just that.
Normally when putting together 2 fitted kitchen units, there is a corner vertical piece that separates units enough to enable opening doors on both sides of the corner. How does it work for IKEA wardrobes?

Unfortunately they don't have email contact for customer services so can't ask them myself.

They overlap slightly. So you lose some door space on one, then the other cupboard attaches square on. The two doors open opposite directions from each other, as one door doesn't have to cover the whole cupboard because of the overlap. Not sure if that makes any sense, but that's how mine is! I can draw a diagram if that helps?

Is there a visible gap?

My husband, who built mine, has said there is a slight gap at the back by the wall. You can't see it as it's behind. It goes like this- the shaded bits are the doors

Thank u plixy, the gap at the back is not a problem, I was more concerned about a gap in the front. Are both sections of your wardrobe the same depth? I think that's what your drawing suggests.

On IKEA site, the corner wardrobe the shelf section is shallow, only 35cm rather than 58cm which is what the main section is.

I would prefer both sections to be the same depth of 58cm and I don't mind the gap at the back. Is that what your are?

No they aren't the same depth, I'm just bad at drawing sorry! The one on the right side is narrower than the other. When I bought mine they didn't do ones that connected over the corner that were the same. I guess because you would lose too much door space if it was too deep.

Ok, thank u, I think I understand. I think it's because the door wishes need to be the same for both sides.
Much appreciated Smile
