Anyone else waiting patiently for the global travel task force report?

I am so sick of waiting to hear something with regards to international travel, every day all I see in the media is talk of illegal holidays until June and fines yet according to TUI my holiday is still going ahead 😩

I have £10k tied up in a 'once in a lifetime' holiday due to depart 17th May. I'm 95% sure it won't happen but the other 5% is still causing my major stress.

We've already rescheduled twice (March 2020 to October, October to May 2021) but I just want our money back now, there's so many other things we could do with the money.

If we cancel ourselves we'll lose money but we only have until 19th April to make changes and put it back if necessary so I really hope they report quickly on the results.

Just so sick of it all now and needed a moan, I know it's nothing in comparison to some peoples problems but I can't wait for a day I don't check the TUI website morning, noon and night.

Anyone else having travel woes?

Yes, me too. No concrete plans yet but I can't wait to get on a plane again (see username). I won't do it until I'm fully vaccinated and will only go to a country which appears to have COVID under control as I think it's irresponsible to do otherwise. No judgement on people who have a lower threshold than me as I totally understand the urge to travel and just to get on with life. Also, economies that are reliant on tourism will want to get back on their feet as soon as possible, so I hope we see some movement this summer.

Same here. I have 3 holidays coming up (2 rebooked from last year, one twice) in May, July and November. I want to go. Couldn't care less about covid any more.

Me too. I haven't seen my parents for ages and they aren't getting any younger. I haven't seen my sister for even longer (a year and a half). My niece will be one next month and none of us have met her yet 😢

Haven't got any booked, but I can't wait to go away. Feel like life is flying by so quickly.

After talk of a UK/US travel corridor, I was feeling almost hopeful for our rescheduled holiday to the US in July. Today there's reference to August being the earliest... aagh!
