Sorry if this has already been done, but I’ve noticed that Tesco has finally put up how many items you can get in a delivery to 115. Yay !

Still only allowed three boxes of eggs. It's ridiculous a year on

SavingsQuestions · 28/03/2021 08:38

Ooh that is good news!!

Ive been reminiscing about last year when if it didn't come then we had no way to get food (shielding) and the difficulties we had. Tescos has been amazing

Sounds sensible, the limit was one of the reasons I didn’t use Tesco for our online shopping, were we lived before we had very limited options. Now we have moved to the outskirts of the city it’s so much easier to get shopping delivered.

London - theres 12 and 15 egg boxes and you can do a delivery every 4-5 days id you want... that's a lot of eggs!

DinosaurDiana · 28/03/2021 08:42

I agree, some things are still restricted, like loo roll and cleaning products. Stupid really as they are losing out on a sale, and I don’t see stock piling going on any more.

Tesco Eggs are restricted to 3 boxes in store too.

Unalome · 28/03/2021 08:51

Thank you - that’s handy to know. We have been shopping for elderly neighbours and it has been quite frustrating at times to have the item limit!

doctorhamster · 28/03/2021 08:53

I'm glad I found your thread op! Tesco have certainly kept that quiet...I get a delivery from them every week and I had no idea.

Anyone else find they're hit and miss with stock still though? For me they'll be fine for a few weeks and suddenly a significant amount of stuff I want to order is unavailable again.

CuthbertDibbleandGrubb · 28/03/2021 08:54

Just in time for anyone who panic buys because large shops are closed next Sunday (Easter Sunday).

Inthevirtualwaitingroom · 28/03/2021 09:14

the vegetarian sausages they delivered were 2 days out of date!

LondonMummer · 28/03/2021 09:16

@SavingsQuestions yes but we like Burford Brown which only come in boxes of 6 at Tesco and it doesn't feel right to order two deliveries a week just to have enough eggs

Oh really!? Thank you, I've got to finalise my order today. Having to do a second shop each week because of the limit so hopefully I can stop that.

tiredoftiers · 28/03/2021 09:23

I noticed that the last shop I booked. Fondly remembering when I had to give up buying loose bananas cause it used up 12 of my item limit Hmm.

GoryGilmore · 28/03/2021 09:44

@LondonMummer We get our Burford Brown eggs from Milk and More, do they operate in your area?
