Things you’ve completely misremembered

I would have sworn blind REM Everybody Hurts was the theme tune to Party of Five discovered today I was wrong.

What things have you completely misremembered?

I vividly remember watching Goodnight Mr Tom as part of a project in primary school. I can even tell you which group I was with and where we watched it.

After Googling it yesterday I see that it was released a year after I left Primary school

I vividly remember watching Dead Poets Society at school for an English class. I clearly remember it being a particular room in the school and I remember it being with a particular English teacher as I thought it was very sweet that she was so emotional about it.

However, I attended two schools as we moved towns growing up. I remember watching it in school 1’s AV room but with school 2’s English teacher.

Weird!!

I clearly remember teaching myself to use a search engine using a primitive version of Yahoo! as a graduate student in the US in 1989/90.

Apparently it wasn’t invented until 1994.

I remember the end of We are the Champions wrong, it actually just fades out without saying the 'of the world' part. Was a huge Queen fan so can't believe I misremembered.
