Hello! Where can a teenager boy buy trainers from atm?

Desperately needing a new pair and can't survive until shops open. I thought sports direct was open but evidently not. He really needs to try trainers on but looks like that's unlikely. Where's good to buy that returns can be made easily?

Order online from sports direct, have ordered from them before and they were quick and returned an item easily too.

LIZS · 27/03/2021 19:55

John .lewis, jd sports, decathlon

Bunnybigears · 27/03/2021 19:55

Only places open with trainers would be supermarkets but I'm guessing your son wants branded. I would just buy online, some places you can buy online then return in store from 12th April. Or just wait until the 12th its only 2 more weeks.

Next is easy. Order them, arrive quickly, return to a store if no good (they are open for click and collect and returns atm).

Gotmyprincecharming · 27/03/2021 19:56

Have you tried the Nike website? They're very fast with delivery and free returns in Ireland but might be similar if you're in UK

ColdTattyWaitingForSummer · 27/03/2021 19:57

I usually order from schuh or office for teen ds’s. Both have a good returns policy, although I’ve never had to use it. If you have a student card of any kind you can usually get 10-20% discount.

StrangeAddiction · 27/03/2021 19:57

Jd sports
Foot asylum
Schuh

If you don't need brands try Asda, Sainsbury's, Tesco. I think Matalan are doing click and collect

KingsRoad · 27/03/2021 19:58

I agree with Next. They sell loads of different brands. Click and collect and returns are easier now then when they were actually open!

Itreallyistimetochangethings · 27/03/2021 19:58

I was able to buy branded in eBay. If he searches what he likes you can usually then browse for the best price.

STARmyarse · 27/03/2021 19:59

Here in Scotland you’re not allowed to try anything on in the shops that are open anyway.

Thefamilybusiness · 27/03/2021 19:59

Sports direct online
Get the label online

Unless you want to try on? Think you're probably stuck with the supermarket of this is the case.

WishITookLifeSeriously · 27/03/2021 20:00

Download the adidas app. There's always sales and offers on there. I got DS some £125 football boots for £33

Bagelsandbrie · 27/03/2021 20:00

Asos men’s section. If you use the Klarna app to pay you can order as many pairs as you like and only pay for the ones you keep - same with Shuch.

gaggiagirl · 27/03/2021 20:02

If you have Amazon prime you can use the prime wardrobe feature for branded footwear. You can have it delivered and you only pay for what you keep.

DoubleTweenQueen · 27/03/2021 20:03

I get my girls trainers from M&M - order a few sizes, then send what I don’t want back. I get a Hermes return label which costs about £3.00 with the order - I figure there is more choice than the shops and the petrol would cost more anyway. Been really fast and efficient with returns & refunds.

LIZS · 27/03/2021 20:04

Deichmann

NCTDN · 27/03/2021 20:18

Thanks everyone. Will investigate them all - like the idea of Amazon wardrobe.

I think with Sports Direct if you return stuff you can only get a gift card not an actual refund (may be wrong)

delilahbucket · 27/03/2021 20:40

Adidas and Nike do free returns. Next is also good with free delivery/returns to store. Wouldn't touch Sports Direct with a bargepole.

HastingsIsSuckingDiesel · 27/03/2021 20:52

Just find somewhere online that does free returns - next, Adidas, Nike etc- and buy a few sizes. Return the ones that don't fit for free.

Sadly Sports direct do charge for returns.

blowinahoolie · 27/03/2021 20:54

DS 13 got trainers from Mountain Warehouse website.

blowinahoolie · 27/03/2021 20:57

Bought supermarket trainers for 10yo yesterday at Tesco. Fit well and he is pleased with them.

Clementine8 · 27/03/2021 21:02

I would not bother even trying to order from JD. I have placed several orders and every single one has been cancelled. Their customer service is shocking.

I’d go direct to nike/adidas or next. Excellent customer service and easy returns

Hazelnutlatteplease · 27/03/2021 21:06

Sport direct are a nightmare for returns and refunds

Amazon are fabulous for shoes

RizzleRazzle · 27/03/2021 21:25

Reebok have really fast delivery and are good for returns plus I can give you a 35% discount code if you want one!

Schuh are also good for returns and customer service IME
