Any Chinese cooks out there?

What would you serve with Dong Po pork?

I'm making Ken Hom's version. Last time I just did it with rice and some stir fry greens with fermented tofu but I haven't got any tofu.

Any ideas? Anything it's traditionally served with? Not been veg shopping yet so open to suggestions.

I think it's traditionally served with rice and wilted greens. But braised pork would go well with plain noodles too. Or perhaps a mix of bitter leaves, endive, rocket and spring onions etc?

Noodles. That might be nice although I suppose the rice soaks up the sauce. I was in the tight track with the greens then

We steamed Gai lan (chinese broccoli) and served it with oyster sauce as a side to some pork dumplings. It went well. Also full of nutrients.

As you have a meat dish, then I would add a veg dish - whichever veg(gies) take your fancy, as long as your stir fry with loads of garlic :)

I agree with pineapple cakes. Any veg with lots of garlic. But rice not noodles. (Wife of a Chinese man here....)
