Any dentists about please?

I had a new crown fitted a couple of weeks ago and the gum seems to be shrinking back around it exposing the root. It's also sore and red, (looks ulcerated).

Ordered some Gengigel to try to heal the gum, the shrinkage is just that one tiny area over my canine.

Have an appointment with dentist on Wednesday, so I'd really appreciate some advice re. whether the crown needs to be re-done (at whose expense?).

I'm a dental nurse and if you had NHS treatment and something is wrong with the crown this soon after you had it done then you wouldn't pay. It's still the same tooth and it's still the same course of treatment.

Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately I've paid for it already - so I'm hoping that he'll be able to rectify it, (presumably free of charge?)

I see that's what you did mean Blush (I sometimes worry about my comprehension skills)
