It gives you up to 9 weeks but just wondered if this is generally the time scale or whether they over estimates?

Hi, sadly it's one of those, 'how long is a piece of string' deal. They may ring you when promised, they may not. You then call them and the first thing they say is 'have we sent you an email about delivery' if the answers yes and it's still not arrived, they will then say 'yes, it's just to tell you the item has been delivered to the store, they will contact you when it's ready for delivery'.
This was our experience anyway.
The van that delivered to the store had to drive around the roundabout into our estate to get to the store. It then was delivered by someone who had hired the a van - think Hertz etc - for the day. We were promised 9 weeks from ordering (it was in stock too), it took 14.
It was the first time we bought from a store, I normally buy second hand, but as we'd just bought our new house, we wanted new furniture too.

I hope you have better luck.

It does take as long as that, I’m afraid. And if they get something wrong, eg a 4-seater cushion when your sofa is a 3-seater (so it work but it’s a bit squashed), it takes that long again (and several phone calls) to put it right. Good luck. The price and the quality seem good, if that’s any consolation.

In my experience that's the MINIMUM time frame, not the maximum.

Their after sales service is also completely non-existent.

Mine took 12 weeks (pre-Covid)

charlieumbrella · 22/09/2021 10:16

I ordered 14 weeks ago and it's still not in the warehouse. One of them isn't estimated for another 5 weeks. If I had known I wouldn't have ordered tbh. Why am I paying so much to wait so long

ChequerBoard · 22/09/2021 11:52

Ours took the 12 weeks we were told on ordering.

We did have an issue with delivery after we were advised via email that the furniture was ready, had the call from the delivery company and delivery was all booked in.

We sat in on the delivery day and waited and nothing happened. Checked the website to find that furniture availability date had moved by 3 days and no-one thought to tell us that therefore our booked delivery slot was cancelled.

So my advice is to keep checking the website even after you have a delivery date scheduled!

Oh and don't buy the glider feet as they are utterly useless, just 10p sticky plastic pads from Poundland and they fell off in the first week. Not worth the extra £50 in any way.

Wait until they have a sale.
