I just read that protesters threw fireworks among the police horses - awful Sad

I don’t understand why the police can’t get the riots under control? Does anyone live in Bristol? It sounds scary!

Sensible, reasonable people are all staying at home because there is a pandemic. The only people out and about are therefore not sensible or reasonable people.

I don’t know as it is hard to know the truth when last week the police announced they have had officers injured with broken bones and cracked ribs, and then quietly say in the week that never happened Confused. I think the overwhelming majority of the protesters are peaceful, with a small minority of troublemakers you get at the end of many otherwise peaceful protests.

The bill that bans any protests in the future for causing ‘annoyance’ is totally unrelated to covid and the current circumstances yet they government were trying to rush it through without proper scrutiny. This is actually quite terrifying as it even bans one person protests! We wouldn’t have the rights we enjoy today without protest. Plus even Chris Whitty said outdoors is minimal risk. All the BLM protests and crowded beaches last year were not associated in an increase of covid.

I strongly disagree that horses and dogs should be sent to dangerous situations. Poor animals didn’t ask to be signed up for this, I’ve seen them at football matches getting spooked and put in danger and I think it’s wholly irresponsible.

I agree, I feel so sorry for the horses Sad How can people throwing fireworks be so cruel?

Was a suspected broken ribs and wrist

The dogs and horses are very well trained

What about the protester who tried to set fire to the police van, with police in it.

I think the police did very well last night, held the line for hours, let people have their protest.
